Lead Cannabis Sales Associate (Lead Budtender) PART-TIME

The Lead Cannabis Sales Associate is a high-performing Front of House team member with added authority over daily register controls and break compliance. This role delivers exceptional customer service while ensuring cash accuracy, floor flow, and team accountability during each shift. The Lead remains a revenue-producing sales associate while serving as the first point of support for register integrity, break management, and customer service escalation. This is a working leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume, compliance-driven cannabis retail environment and ensures compliance with California labor law during their shifts. This role also carries elevated accountability for register integrity. Schedule 4 days per week, 8-hour shifts Wednesday - Saturday AM Shifts timing from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Compensation $22/hour Personal, non-pooled tips Bonuses based on sales performance and customer service Core Responsibilities Sales & Customer Experience (Primary Function) Provide knowledgeable and compliant cannabis product recommendations Maintain strong personal AOV and UPT performance Drive add-on sales, accessories, and loyalty enrollments Professionally resolve customer concerns and escalations Model EWC service standards on the sales floor Cash & Register Authority Responsible for assigned register accuracy Execute opening and closing cash procedures Perform and document mid-day cash drops Identify and troubleshoot register discrepancies Serve as the first point of review for cash over/short variances Ensure proper discount usage and order adjustment procedures Escalate unresolved discrepancies to management Break & Floor Coverage Management Ensure all Front of House employees take legally compliant meal and rest breaks Coordinate staggered breaks to maintain proper floor coverage Monitor break timing and adjust as needed during high-traffic periods Escalate missed or delayed breaks immediately to management Give real-time feedback to budtenders through auditing of transactions Floor Standards & Execution Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor Verify pricing accuracy on displays and POS Monitor team engagement, professionalism, and service quality Provide real-time direction to maintain flow and efficiency Communicate operational issues to management Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience Experience in a retail sales shift lead role Demonstrated strong sales performance Proven cash handling and balancing experience Cannabis product knowledge Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Reliable, punctual, and professional Core Competencies Strong interpersonal and sales skills High attention to detail Confidence in holding peers accountable Calm under pressure Clear communication Strong situational awareness Physical Requirements Prolonged standing (8+ hours) Frequent customer interaction Operation of POS systems and retail equipment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Paid time off Application Question(s): Are you at least the age of 21?
