Snake River Foods, Inc. has an immediate opening for a District Manager to oversee operations, training, and maintenance at its three Burger King locations in Missoula and Hamilton! The successful candidate for the position will have previous experience as an Above Restaurant Leader in the QSR industry, or at least five years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager, with a track record of operational success. Additionally, s/he will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of restaurant profitability, familiarity with restaurant technology, and the flexibility to respond to operational issues on evenings and weekends as required. The ability to handle preventative maintenance and minor repairs on restaurant and building equipment is a strong plus. Reliable transportation is required, and the Company will subsidize fuel expenses for work-related travel.
The District Manager reports directly to ownership and is responsible for the operations, training, and maintenance of assigned restaurants via direct supervision of three Restaurant General Managers (RGMs). Specific responsibilities include:
Operations
Supervise RGMs in the performance of their duties, and keep ownership appraised of RGMs' adherence to Company and Burger King standards
Track that stores are open during designated hours of operation and make recommendations for modifications to hours of operation to ownership
Track key operational metrics (Guest Satisfaction, Speed of Service, and Training), and implement formal improvement plans for underperforming restaurants
Oversee assigned restaurants' readiness for Burger King Restaurant Excellence Visits by tracking Brand Standards, Food Safety, and Facilities compliance
Attend and track RGM attendance of BKC-required webinars and training sessions
Coordinate / approve / track the transfer of product between stores as required
Serve as acting RGM or approve the designation of an Assistant Manager as acting RGM in the event of an RGM vacancy or absence
Serve as a direct link with the Company's corporate Operations Partner
Maintenance
Provide daily and weekly cleaning lists to RGMs and track accomplishment
Check that RGMs are conducting required periodic maintenance on restaurant equipment. Spot-check cleanliness and consumable parts replacement
Stay informed of any broken or malfunctioning equipment in assigned stores, and make recommendations to ownership on appropriate repair or replacement action
Coordinate the execution of rooftop equipment maintenance per a designated schedule
Plan and supervise technology installations and upgrades with the appropriate 3rd party vendor, monitor the performance of installed technology, and direct RGMs to take corrective action as necessary
Profitability
Review Daily and Weekly Operations Reports to monitor key items such as cash deposits, discounts, voids, & overrings, labor percentages & schedule execution, and product loss variance
Review restaurant schedules weekly and ensure scheduled labor matches projections and the Company's labor targets
Update prices and product availability as directed or required in the Company's Point-of-Sale system, monitor competitor pricing, and make pricing recommendations to ownershipate in the POS Portal
Conduct investigations into cases of known or suspected product loss
Make recommendations to ownership on adjusting wages based on local conditions and staffing requirements
Assist ownership in identifying and evaluating RGM candidates, as vacancies occur
Ensure required personal protective equipment is on hand and being used to minimize employee downtime due to injuries
Investigate and process Workman's Comp Insurance claims
Monitor RGM compliance with the Company's hiring and termination policies
Oversee the execution of end of month inventories
Directly coordinate with the Company's Finance Officer to ensure ICRs and other financial reports are processed in a timely manner
