We are a growing organization seeking a talented Process Scheduler to join our team as a pivotal member here at PBF Energy. This role is located at Torrance Refining Company in Torrance, CA.This position is responsible for scheduling and timekeeping functions of hourly, represented personnel within the Process, Health Safety Environmental and Lab Departments.Principle ResponsibilitiesAdministers weekly schedules for all represented Process, Health Safety Environmental and Lab personnel in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)Proactively anticipate additional requests from multiple stakeholders to weekly schedule (e.g., training, various absence types, overtime, etc.)Resolves issues for represented employees regarding scheduling processes and procedures Works closely with Supervisors to ensure schedules and timesheets are correct in advance of payroll processingValidate supporting documentation for all absences and required trainingValidate supporting documentation and required Supervisor approvals for all overtime give aways and shift tradesMonitor approvals and provide payroll deadlines remindersStewards Vacation Scheduling DatabaseAnnually post vacation picksProcesses vacation change requests and ensure proper documentation is obtained in accordance with vacation selection rulesProduces dynamic labor reports utilized by management and various cross functional departmentsCompiles and distributes Equalization Report for daily overtime availability (in accordance with the CBA)Review and process availabilityReview and update employee’s status (Not Qualified, Vacation, Sick, Temp Super, Off, etc)Analyzes labor hour requests from multiple functional areas, and provides precise reports as requestedAssembles and provides required documentation for grievances filed by the Local Union as neededPrincipal contact for Department new hire training on practices pertaining to timesheets, pay, scheduling, vacation, overtime, etc.Distributes various communications to personnel to ensure clarification of scheduling and timekeeping proceduresJob QualificationsAssociate’s Degree preferred3+ years of prior scheduling/timekeeping experience preferredFamiliarity with Workforce Software preferredThis description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.This position is subject to federally mandated drug/alcohol testing.The hourly range for this position is $23.08 - $37.54. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases.
