Industrial Painter Job Overview Looking for a painter that will be responsible for painting industrial type buildings in a timely manner. Their duties include meeting the clients expectations and help keep inventory of all consumables and ensure equipment is properly cleaned after each use. Capabilities, Responsibilities and Duties Communicating with leadership to determine their painting requirements and helping them make the best decisions for their projects Assembling scaffolding as required Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint Setting up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers Works in a safe manner and follows all safety policies while performing job duties Maintains work area (kept clean and organized). Follows work orders and instructions on correct assembly of building components Maintains open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns Performs various other job duties as assigned and needed Qualifications · Highschool or equivalent · Eligible to work in the US · (2) years’ experience in auto body paint · Must be able to lift 50 lbs. · Must be honest, have a great work ethic, and play well with others. · Must be able to crouch, bend, and work overhead for extended periods of time. · Good color vision and aesthetic instincts · Attention to detail · Familiarity with painting tools and materials · Proficient in caulking with caulk gun Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
