Systems Engineer/ ProgrammerLevel 3 or Level 4Hourly rate $60- $85.Position SummaryThe Senior DDC Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial and industrial facilities.This role provides technical leadership on complex projects, ensures high-quality system performance, and serves as a resource for engineering teams, project managers, and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and configure advanced BAS/DDC control systems for HVAC and mechanical equipment.Lead commissioning activities and verify proper system operation.Integrate building automation systems with third-party equipment and communication protocols.Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.Review control drawings, sequences of operation, and project documentation for accuracy.Develop operator graphics, dashboards, and user interfaces.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Support project teams with technical reviews, scope clarification, and change management.Conduct customer training and assist with project closeout and system handover.Communicate professionally with customers throughout all phases of onsite work.QualificationsExtensive experience with Building Automation Systems and DDC programming.Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control sequences, and system integration.Proficiency with multiple BAS platforms such as Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Niagara, Siemens, or similar.Experience commissioning complex HVAC systems and troubleshooting communication networks.Ability to read mechanical drawings, control schematics, and sequences of operation.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
