Personnel Security Specialist - Remote

*Role Title: Personnel Security Specialist (Background Investigation Processing Support: e-QIP Processor (eAPP)* *Location: REMOTE (Based out of Maryland); local candidates preferred but will accept candidates out of state. All out of state candidates would have to come to Maryland to get their PIV Card on-site.* *Length of contract: 6 months - 1 year; potentially longer* *Job Responsibilities of the Personnel Security Specialist:* * Assist agency with all aspects of front-end background investigation processing for the agency population. * Enter data into the agency’s processing systems including but not limited to; The Case Management System, Security Manger, IDMS, SCMS, and the Enterprise User Administration (EUA) Front-End Interface (EFI). * Enter data into the e-AAP system for processing from initiation to completion for the agency’s population, including conducting a quality review of the information submitted and communicating with the customer, in-person, by email, and/or phone, to ensure proper completion of the e-APP. * Fingerprint customers (i.e. potential CMS population) for credentialing and background investigation processing utilizing the B.E.S.T enrollment software station and with ink on hard cards. * Access the DCSA CVS/PIPS database to review customer’s prior investigation information, screenshot the case and adjudication status in order to update and upload into the customer’s Security Manager profile and provide to Federal Personnel Security Specialists for further review. * Ensure Foreign National customers present documents that provide Federal work authorization to upload into Security Manager and to provide the work authorization expiration date for credential processing. *Required Skills: * * A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent substitution with work experience. * Fully adjudicated Tier 4 Public Trust (T3 and T5 are ineligible) 2. * 3 years of minimum experience as a federal personnel security specialist or case reviewer. * Experience using the DCSA systems such as NBIS eAPP, NP2 and CVS/PIPS as a personnel security specialist. * Experience initiating and reviewing DCSA eAPP submissions as a personnel security specialist. * Prior personnel security experience required. * Strong preference for candidates with previous federal contracting experience in a similar security environment. * Strong oral and written communications skills required. * Strong MS Office skills required. * Direct experience with DCSA systems. * Strong preference for candidates with previous federal contracting experience. * Strong oral and written communications skills require.
