The Job: Paid Media Marketing Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CAWhat We Are Looking For: The Laugh Factory is seeking a creative, analytical, and results-driven Paid Ads Specialist to help grow audiences for the comedy club and drive ticket sales for live comedy events. What You’ll Be Doing: The Paid Media Specialist will manage and optimize campaigns across Google, Meta, Eventbrite, email newsletters, CRM systems, and SMS marketing platforms while developing audience growth, customer retention, and grassroots outreach strategies.What You’ll Be DoingResponsibilities include overseeing daily advertising and performance marketing efforts for a fast-paced live entertainment venue with multiple comedy shows per day and constantly rotating lineups that require ongoing promotion in advance of each event. This role is highly focused on analyzing data, driving ticket sales, and ensuring campaigns consistently meet attendance and revenue goals.Key responsibilities include:Promote multiple comedy shows happening daily while marketing special events weeks in advance.Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta, Google, Eventbrite, and additional digital platforms daily.Monitor ticket sales daily and adjust advertising strategy, audience targeting, budgets, and creative in real time to ensure shows reach ticket sales benchmarks and attendance thresholds.Design, write, and distribute weekly email newsletters highlighting upcoming lineups, featured comedians, promotions, and club programming.Develop and implement SMS/text marketing campaigns to drive conversions, repeat attendance, and customer engagement.Conduct regular A/B testing on ad creatives, copy, landing pages, audiences, and promotional strategies to improve performance and maximize ROI.Analyze campaign performance, customer acquisition data, and audience behavior to identify actionable insights and optimize marketing effectiveness.Coordinate with representatives across Google, Meta, Eventbrite, and other marketing platforms to stay informed on evolving best practices, algorithm changes, platform tools, and emerging advertising trends.Collaborate cross-functionally with social media, design, and production teams to execute marketing campaigns across all channels.Continuously research trends in comedy, nightlife, entertainment, and digital marketing to identify opportunities for audience growth and increased revenue.Candidates should be excited by the fast-paced energy of live events and passionate about helping grow comedy audiences and event communities. Experience in performance marketing, live events, entertainment, or experiential marketing is preferred. Entrepreneurial or side-project experience is a plus.Qualifications2–4 years of experience in marketing, audience development, performance marketing, events, entertainment, or a related fieldStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility-driven, data-driven results Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, CRM systems, email and SMS marketing, and social analytics, including but not limited to Google, Meta, Eventbrite, MailChimp, Canva, and more.
