Description: Information Technology Specialist 1Location: HeadquartersDepartment: Information TechnologyCompensation: Non-Exempt, Grade 10 $28.36 - $42.56Report To: AVP IT OperationsWith the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities this position under the direction of the AVP IT Operations, is responsible for testing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring, and troubleshooting all PC hardware and software. Assists in the training of end users concerning basic functionality of PC’s and provides hands-on support across all Numerica locations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Serves as the first point of contact for internal members seeking technical support for software and PC/LAN systems. Provides technical support for the installation, set-up, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, cabling and replacing of all standard PC/LAN systems. Performs requested add-on’s, moves, deletions, and changes for the PC/LAN systems. Tracks incoming service requests, keeping users and the manager apprised of progress on all requests. Safeguards equipment, software, data and tools, preventing loss, theft or accidental destruction of parts, supplies and equipment. Maintains knowledge and adheres to all BSA regulations and compliance standards on internal and external policies. Requires basic understanding of IT systems including, but not limited to, workstations, applications, networking and servers. Experience navigating and basic troubleshooting of Microsoft Office applications and Windows PC Operating Systems.Preferred Skills/ExperiencePrevious experience working at Numerica Credit UnionWorking knowledge of Numerica's core systems including Symitar, MRM, MANTL, and/or TemenosExperience working within Numerica's core purpose, guiding principles, and operationsCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNone requiredSKILLS And ABILITIESAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff, members and the general public.A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
