A Day in the Life...As an integral part of our team, you will empower clients to make informed decisions about their finances. You will build lasting relationships, ensuring clients feel supported and confident every tax season. In this role as a Senior Tax Advisor, you'll work with clients who have a variety of tax needs, backed by a team dedicated to your ongoing professional development through advanced training. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field CPA or Enrolled Agent certification Experience with preparing complex returns such as individual, trust, and partnership 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax Skilled in conducting virtual tax interviews Experience in tax planning and audit support Background in sales and/or marketing Your Responsibilities Will Include:Conducting tax interviews with clients in-person and through various virtual platforms Preparing accurate and complete tax returns Driving business growth, enhancing client retention, and promoting additional services Providing IRS support to clients Offering tax notice services, regardless of certification level For Circular 230 associates, providing audit representation Mentoring and supporting fellow team members Successfully completing the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment Demonstrating experience in tax-related roles Handling individual returns efficiently Thriving in a fast-paced work environment Utilizing virtual communication tools effectively Exhibiting strong communication skills in writing, and verbally Meeting IRS and applicable state requirements Possessing a high school diploma or equivalent Why Join H&R Block?We are deeply invested in our associates' well-being, providing a range of benefits to support your health, wellness, and financial stability.
