Join Pathways to Potential as a Behavior Technician and become a Registered Behavior Technician! Entry Level Position with Training Provided! Pathways to Potential is hiring part-time Behavior Technicians to help support patients with autism in Lapeer County. We are also hiring Reserve Behavior Technicians who have open availability and would be readily available to join a team when a new patient need presents itself. As a Behavior Technician, you will be working one-on-one with patients in their homes under the supervision of our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts. You will implement a structured program to help your patient develop new skills like daily living, academic, and social skills. We provide training to earn a professional certification (RBT), as well as ongoing opportunities for development. The Behavior Technicians who do well can multitask while providing instruction to a child, stay calm in stressful situations, and follow a structured plan while providing excellent service to patients and their families. Position Responsibilities: · Implement a structured program for each patient to help reduce negative behaviors and learn new social and communication skills. · Collect data during patient appointments using the HiRasmus app. · Communicate effectively with your BCBA supervisor. · Reliable in following a weekly schedule for each assigned patient. · Commit to at least 6 months of service for each patient. Required Qualifications: · Reliable means of transportation. · High School Diploma (or Equivalent). · Available during the summer for 3-5 hour sessions between the hours of 3:30-8pm Monday through Friday. Some availability on Saturdays is a preference, but not required. · Must pass a criminal background check. · Be able to perform tasks such as running, crawling, stooping, etc., and occasionally lifting 50 pounds or less. Preferred Qualifications: -Experience working with children and young adults with autism -PCM, CPI or Safety Care Training -RBT Certification Rate of Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Applied behavior analysis: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: RBT Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
