Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift- Frank Pack

POSITION SUMMARYSupervise and provide direction & guidance to production employees. Monitors performance of production equipment andperforms maintenance at assigned plant.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSSupervise production activities including but not limited to coordinating activities of workers engaged inprocessing and/or the development of a product or a service; provides production reports to assist processimprovement.Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity; mayrecruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, anddisciplinary action.Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules;evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards.Troubleshoots and resolves process, equipment and material issues in conjunction with machine operators andsupport personnel.Double-checks, ensures accuracy, and finalizes production paperwork including but not limited to productionreports, work order documentation, safety and sanitation documents, and quality recordsCoach and counsel associates while coordinating and enforcing process controls, policies and procedures; trainsnew workers in operation of equipment.Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHS Diploma, GED or equivalentOne (1) year production experience or a combination of leadership and production experienceOne (1) year leadership experience, or relevant Sigma experiencePreferred QualificationsTwo (2) years production experienceTwo (2) years leadership experienceKnowledge of Food Safety practices (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, and SQF)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to become forklift/pallet jack certifiedAbility to understand Quality Standards, SSOP's, applicable Pre-requisite programs, and HACCPProficient with Microsoft office, including skills with Outlook, Word and ExcelThe ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and workwell independently and within a team environmentENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONSAbility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shiftsAbility to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees; may occasionally exceed 95 degreesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach abovethe head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee isrequired to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depthperception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts,toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal officelevels to loud factory / warehouse levels
