The Technicians will provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications. Responsibilities:Pulling wire, installing conduit and mounting devicesAn aptitude for electrical theory and knowledge, or ability to learn, is considered a requirementProgram, test, inspect and service fire alarm systemsSite verifications of fire alarm installationsRead and interpret fire alarm drawingsIdentify & troubleshoot fire alarm deficienciesCover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis Qualifications:2 years of experience installing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems is preferredCross-training across multiple fire protection disciplines preferred, including: fire alarm, clean agent/special hazards systems, fire extinguishers, fixed wet and dry chemical suppression systems, backflow prevention, fire sprinklers, and emergency lightingStrong working knowledge of NFPA codes and applicable industry standardsCommitment to quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to best practices - no shortcutsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook) and general PC skillsAbility to work in harsh environmentsComfortable working at heights and climbing ladders as requiredValid driver's license with the ability to travel daily between customer sitesWillingness to successfully complete a post-offer drug screen, background check, and reference check Education and Certifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceElectronic Trade School training is a plusNICET certification is preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodationRegular bending, reaching, climbing and walking Compensation & Benefits:This role will be based out of our Irondale, AL branch.
