Senior SCADA Engineer
We are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and long-term success of complex SCADA and BMS solutions. This role is ideal for a highly experienced engineer who brings strong technical judgment, architectural thinking, and leadership to high-impact projects.As a senior member of the team, you will own technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, influence standards, and serve as a trusted technical partner to customers and internal stakeholders.What You’ll DoLead the design, configuration, and deployment of SCADA/BMS solutions using Ignition, with an emphasis on scalable architecture and maintainable Perspective user interfacesOwn key technical deliverables, including functional specifications, system architecture diagrams, I/O and tag lists, and test proceduresDefine, document, and enforce engineering standards for UDTs, templates, naming conventions, and screen design across projectsMentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, PR/code reviews, and structured feedbackDiagnose and resolve complex system issues spanning PLCs, field networks, servers, device integrations, and SCADA applications, driving root-cause analysisCoordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to align requirements, manage technical risk, and handle change requestsContribute technical leadership to backlog grooming, effort estimation, proposals, and scope developmentPromote and apply cybersecurity, reliability, and high-availability best practices for OT and SCADA environmentsQualifications Experience5–8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting SCADA systems, with significant exposure to Ignition or similar platformsProven experience leading technical workstreams on complex or multi-site SCADA/BMS projectsStrong proficiency in:PLC programming and industrial communication protocolsIgnition Designer, Perspective, tag providers, and gateway configurationIndustrial networking and OT cybersecurity conceptsDatabase integration, including queries, historization, and reporting Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceIgnition Gold Certified (or equivalent experience) required
