Irrigation Technician
Our client is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to oversee commercial operations. This role requires high-level technical troubleshooting, component assembly, and occasional system installation. Additionally, it offers reliable year-round work, as the employee will transition to snow-related duties during the winter months.Based in the Metro Detroit area, our client is a premier landscape and commercial maintenance provider with over 30 years of industry experience. The company fosters a collaborative team culture where employees are valued and encouraged to cross-train and expand their professional capabilities.Compensation & Benefits$24.00 and $30.00 per hour based on experience.Negotiable insurance benefits are available.Access to a company 401k plan.Continuous, year-round employment.Company truck and trailer provided daily.ResponsibilitiesManage, troubleshoot, and maintain predominantly commercial irrigation systems.Execute daily technical tasks such as switching heads, managing valves, and wire tracking.Assemble and install various irrigation system components.Replace system clocks.Program advanced irrigation timers, specifically Hydrawise and Centralus.Report daily to the facility to pick up the company truck and trailer for route execution.Pivot to snow and ice management tasks during the winter season to maintain year-round employment.Embrace cross-training and assist with other operational landscaping tasks when necessary.Requirements3 to 5 years of experience working as an Irrigation Technician.Strong familiarity with Hunter and Rainbird equipment is highly preferred.Valid Chauffer’s license with a clean driving record. Must clear a mandatory background check.
