Summary Description:The Materials Manager is responsible for delivering organizational and customer value across people, process, and technology within North America Materials Management. This role owns end-to-end material planning performance within the S&OP cycle, including supplier forecasting, inventory strategy, and service management.The Materials Manager drives alignment across cross-functional partners, translates demand and supply insights into actionable plans, and leads a high-performing team to achieve service, cost, and working capital objectives. Success in this role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to proactively manage risk while identifying opportunities for optimization.Essential Functions:Team Leadership & Development:Lead, coach, and develop a team of Materials Specialists and AnalystsBuild individual and team capability through structured development plans, coaching, and feedbackFoster a high-performance, collaborative, and results-driven team cultureSupport talent acquisition, succession planning, and capability building across the functionS&OP and Material Planning Ownership:Own material plan delivery within the S&OP cycle across North AmericaDrive end-to-end material plan performance by translating demand and supply insights into actionable strategiesProactively manage forecast variability, inventory positioning, supply risks, and contract commitmentsIdentify and mitigate risks while capturing opportunities to optimize service, cost, and working capitalSupport financial planning cycles (AOP, 3+9, 8+4) related to working capital, transfers, and warehousingServe as the primary decision-maker for material-related tradeoffs impacting service, cost, and inventorySupplier & Operational ExecutionManage supplier forecasts and master order alignment for key material categories (e.g., ingredients, packaging)Lead supplier service performance management through scorecards, KPIs, and direct engagementDrive contract balancing and ensure alignment with procurement commitmentsSupport production escalations and resolve material-related supply disruptionsManage imported material ordering processes and tracking systemsInventory & Planning OptimizationLead inventory strategy, including days of supply (DOS) management and aged inventory reductionOversee material risk identification and inventory projection reportingOptimize ordering strategies based on pricing, MOQ, and inventory targetsEnsure accuracy and governance of master data, BOMs, and MRP parametersCross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementPartner with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Commercialization, and external suppliersSupport new product introductions and ensure material readiness for launches and design changesForecast 3PL warehouse capacity and material flow requirementsDrive standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement in material planning processesParticipate in cross-functional initiatives to achieve business and operational goalsRequired Skills and Competencies:2+ years of direct people management experienceExperience in MRP, material planning, and order managementAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilitiesProven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence decisionsExperience with Power BI or similar tools preferredStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated leadership in team development and coachingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Education and Experience:5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or related fieldBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferredAPICS certification a plusExperience in food/beverage manufacturing or similar industry strongly preferredProven ability to build collaborative relationships across internal and external partnersStrong SAP experience (3+ years preferred)Working Conditions:Physical Demands- Continuously sitting for prolonged periods, as the job is administrative in nature.Visual/Sensory - This position requires attention to detail, requiring attention with one or two senses at a time.Work environment - Work and environment fasted paced, requiring ability to remain focused under pressure.Mental Stress - There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, project management, accuracy or similar demands.Travel Requirements:Based in Tampa corporate office with minimal travel requirements.Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
