Accounting and General Affairs Manager - Fashion Industry

We are seeking a candidate for an Accounting & General Affairs Lead position to support the growth and expansion of a startup U.S. entity for a fast-growing international company across e-commerce and retail operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting and finance experience within a global organization, preferably in the fashion, retail, or e-commerce industry, along with experience reporting to overseas headquarters or international stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Manage daily accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close • Support payroll coordination and related accounting processes • Assist with external audit preparation and provide audit support documentation as needed • Prepare financial reports and support consolidated reporting for headquarters • Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards • Partner with global teams to maintain accurate and timely financial submissions • Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and operational efficiency initiatives • Provide administrative and cross-functional operational support in a growing organization • Participate in special projects and assist with business expansion initiatives Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Solid experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes • Exposure to payroll operations and audit support preferred • Knowledge of U.S. accounting standards required • Experience in startup, high-growth, or evolving business environments is highly valued • Business-level English required; Japanese language skills are a plus • Strong organizational skills with a flexible, hands-on approach • Comfortable working across multiple functions in a collaborative environment • Candidates from fashion, retail, consumer products, lifestyle, or other industries are encouraged to apply
