This includes supporting the implementation of QA/QC policies, conducting inspections, and assisting in vendor evaluations.This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.Position Summary (Houston Aero)The Aero Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet specified standards. They are responsible for examining products at various stages incoming inspection, repair, production, and final build using tools and equipment to test and measure products for compliance or against a standard. Quality Inspectors identify any defects or deviations and meticulously document their findings. Attention to detail is paramount for Quality Inspectors and is essential for maintaining the high standards required for this position.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all findings are recorded.Responsible for reporting all findings to Operations and Production team members.Maintain ISO standards.Assist in form and document development to support QA/QC needs.Ensure proper storage / archiving project findings and related information.Communicating regularly and promptly regarding ongoing work.Continually improve on processes & procedures to support quality and safety.Maintain a Safe and Healthy workplace upholding Sulzer QESH standards.Inspection/Measuring of parts and record detailed findings.Meticulously follow detailed instructions.RequirementsATTENTION TO DETAILBe able to use Parts Manuals, Repair Manuals, & Service BulletinsBe able to read part drawings and blueprintsMeasure parts using micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, pin gauges, block gauges, & dial indicatorsBasic Microsoft Office applications experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.Time management skills.Must be able to work overtime when necessary.Foster a positive working environment and relationships with colleagues.Properly utilize provided PPE at all times.Preferred Requirements1+ years of inspection experienceUnderstanding of the Industrial and/or Aero Gas Turbine industryWhat we offer you12 Paid Holidays15 Paid Time Off (PTO) DaysMedical, dental, vision, life & disability401K with 6% company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Wellness ProgramNew onsite cafeteria, all meals subsidized (La Porte Service Center) Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
