The quality of the services we provide and our commitment to unsurpassed customer service has helped us become one of the nation's premiere Minority Janitorial Contractors.Job Description:Responsible for assisting in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff engaged in cleaning and maintaining the site premises by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff. Fulfills management instructions in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Duties/Responsibilities:Supervise daily work of assistant leads and custodians; inspect all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderlyEvaluate performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary actions and incident reports; counsel's employeesHolds daily staff briefings to cover key topics for the dayIdentifies development and training needs, and ensures that all training is obtainedMaintain records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the workMakes rounds to check for crew coverage of designated work areas, gives special cleaning instructions and/ or assignments, and is in compliance with direction of upper ManagementConducts inspections and investigates tenant/customer complaints of the building, and checks for cleanliness and repairs as requiredTrains and ensures the subordinate staff understands their job requirements, this includes the proper cleaning methods, the use of equipment, safety practices, illness and injury prevention and work regulationAssists with coverage of call offs/covering facility areasReview schedules, create and manage new and reoccurring trainingsAssists with ensuring overall customer satisfaction, this includes daily reporting to Upper managementEnsures proper labor relations and conditions of employment are maintainedCorresponds with Manager for support, updates and dutiesKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:Ability to designate shift and area of work assignments for custodians (temporary/replacements) and lead personnel; conduct trainingThorough knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, and supplies in a large or small scale Janitorial activities of the service.Ability to work with a diverse workforceAbility to communicate effectively and maintain confidentialityAbility to operate and use tools/equipment for training purposesAbility to make the most efficient use of personnel as instructed, can delegate tasks and assignmentsConsiderable knowledge of employee policies and proceduresAbility to follow instructions and respond using written communicationAbility to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work effectively independently or with a teamBasic knowledge of general housekeeping methods and practices, cleaning products and usePhysical Demands: The Supervisor position is a physically demanding position. The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, lifting heavy objects operating medium weight cleaning equipment.
