Accounts Payable Analyst

A large, established manufacturing company is seeking a strong Accounts Payable Analyst to join its AP team and support a high-volume finance and accounting operation. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong analytical skills, hands-on accounts payable experience, project management ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, resolving discrepancies, supporting timely and accurate payments, and helping improve AP processes across a complex manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Accounts Payable Analyst will review, code, and process vendor invoices while ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and compliance with company policies. This person will assist with payment runs, vendor statement reconciliations, purchase order matching, three-way matching, and resolution of invoice discrepancies.Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate vendor records, responding to vendor and internal payment inquiries, supporting month-end close activities, assisting with accruals and reporting, and helping identify process improvements within the accounts payable function.This role will also support AP-related projects, process improvement initiatives, workflow enhancements, reporting needs, and cross-functional coordination with procurement, operations, plant personnel, and the broader finance team.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume environment. Experience supporting an AP team, managing AP-related projects, improving processes, and working with cross-functional departments is strongly preferred.Candidates should have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The right person will be analytical, proactive, and comfortable identifying issues, recommending improvements, and helping drive better AP workflows.
