Travel MRI Technologist - $2,901 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 11 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Ensure proper patient identification and order verification. Prepare patients for MRI exams and perform imaging procedures per department protocols. Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and anatomical positioning. Critique and ensure quality of images produced. Select appropriate scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with radiologists. Administer intravenous contrast material under physician supervision, following contrast administration protocols. Practice infection control and sterile techniques. Operate MRI equipment and related systems to produce quality images. Manage electronic imaging, including viewing, transferring, archiving, and manipulating images. Understand and troubleshoot MRI scanner operations, including magnet safety, cryogens, gradient amplifiers, and software. Follow MRI safety policies, including the FOUR ZONE concept and emergency procedures. Complete all required documentation accurately, including time stamps, image storage, and quality control (QC) programs. Ensure compliance with medical necessity, coding, charging, and consent protocols. Required Qualifications One year of experience in MRI. ARRT registered technologist certification. Current Utah State Licensure (for positions in Utah) to administer RX. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Ability to meet departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire. Completion of controlled substance and moderate sedation modules within six months of hire (if applicable). Physical requirements: hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, seeing, standing. Preferred Qualifications MR certification by ARRT.
