Videographer

JOB TITLE: Videographer DEPARTMENT: Programming STATUS: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Chief Videographer GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for coverage of public affairs, sports, and history and culture content. Videographers are responsible for all production crew positions and post-production for PCN’s feature programs. RESPONSIBILITIES:Shoot and edit video content for cable television airing and for all the station's multimedia platforms.Operate all videography gear, including bonded cellular devices (Dejero or similar).Support History and Culture programming via documentary storytelling techniques.Direct multi-camera productions in the field, live or recorded.Support PCN Sports productions, including videography, directing, replay, audio, graphics, and producing.Contact onsite personnel prior to events to plan logistics.Lead field productions.Travel with the production team to sites and coordinate shoots.Proactive approach to decision making, problem solving, and implementing the production plan.Post-production, including editing, graphics, and any other visual elements required.Meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.Practice journalistic and ethical integrity.Travel to and from events, sometimes over long distances.Required to keep PennDOT medical certificate updated, to drive PCN’s production truck.Other duties, as assigned.BACKGROUND/SKILLS:Proven experience in video production and editing, and a portfolio showcasing your work.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, and other tools within the Adobe Creative Suite.Strong understanding of videography techniques, including lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.Experience with documentaries and cinematic-style cameras.Well-rounded knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, as well as editing.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Self-starter.Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings.Ability to lift and load equipment weighing 50-pounds.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.Organized, prompt, timely.BENEFITS: Health, dental, vision, RX, disability, retirement fund, vacation, personal time off and more.
