Our accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant for the ASC 842 Lease Accounting team. The ideal candidate for this role is highly motivated, detailed, adaptable, and ready to expand their professional career/acumen. The Senior Accountant should be able to deliver exceptional performance in a fun and fast-paced environment.What You'll Be DoingThe responsibilities for this role are wide-ranging and will continue to grow and transform with the Company and individual. Responsibilities may include:Participation in the monthly close process, including preparing and booking assigned journal entries timely and in accordance with internal and external reportingValidate income statement expenses for operating equipment, financing equipment and real estate leasesParticipate in the monthly reconciliations and roll forwards of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accounts are reconciled timely, reconciling items are addressed, and reconciliations are updated as efficiencies and improvements are identifiedResearch technical accounting guidance for complex leases to determine the proper accounting treatmentBe responsible for finance lease process/work with treasury department on financing for finance leases and assist with lease buyouts of financing equipmentPrepare the financial statement disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-KWork with Finance team to assist with quarterly and yearly budgetsContribute to additional projects and assignments as neededPerform key SOX Controls over ASC 842 to ensure compliance with internal processesAssist in quarterly reviews and the annual audit processEducation And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA or CPA candidate2-5+ years of public accounting or public company/large company experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel and entire Office SuiteSound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply GAAP to new and existing transactionsAbility to problem-solve and analyze new informationStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsThrives when working independently and is resourcefulAbility to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks and projects concurrentlyPositive, motivated contributor to the Company's all-hands-on-deck atmosphereExperience using SAP or large ERP systemsFull time in-office requirement.This posting is for a(n) Existing Position.Disclaimer: This posting describes the general nature and level of work performed and does not represent an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, skills, or physical abilities required.
