Role - Technical Project ManagerLocation - Poughkeepsie, NY/ Hybrid may need to travel onsite once/twice a week (Preferably from Tristate)Exp need - 10+ yearsJob DescriptionPeople/Team Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills to drive collaborative project deliveries and promote the value of project management across the organizationManages vendor relationships throughout the duration of related projects and collaborates with vendor implementation resources to ensure alignment of expectations and deliverablesCollaborates with stakeholders to create project artifacts that align within the appropriate stage of project execution (i.e. scope, schedule, budget, test plan, communication plan, education plan, activation plan, & change control)Drives critical, time-sensitive discussions related to risks, issues, dependencies, and decision points with stakeholders and collaborates with the team to develop corresponding action plansActively contributes to the evolution of the IT PMO (Project Management Office) by recommending new efficiency-based processes, educating stakeholders on the value of project management, providing feedback during team discussions, and owning development and implementation of approved changesUnderstands and applies Organizational Change Management principles to projects to ensure effective communication and adoptionProvides support during storm restoration effortsProject Management, Financial Strength & Risk Management Leverages PMBOK, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Waterfall, SDLC Iterative, and Agile project management frameworks to define project governance, manage risks, and drive the delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and cost constraintsConsistently provides effective status reporting that contains the appropriate level of actionable detail for Executive, Sponsor-level, and project team recipientsCreates and maintains accurate project estimates, budgets, and actively manages cost forecasts throughout the projectExecutes proper change control processes to provide transparency and effectively manage scope, schedule, and costProficiently leverages Project Management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PPM and budgeting software to ensure high-quality project deliveriesAdheres to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to change management, incident reporting, time accounting, expense reporting, purchase requisition processes, and compliance requirementsTechnology Ability to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and frameworks to ensure the delivery of a high-quality solutionPartner with technical leads and vendors to ensure the translation of requirements into comprehensive test plans and technical solutions (Requirements Traceability)Demonstrate technical acumen to ensure project team executes high-quality design, testing, and cutover activitiesRequired: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent of education and experience may be considered.5+ years of professional experience formally leading infrastructure (and application preferably) projects within a cross-functional environmentStrong experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Waterfall and Iterative modelsAbility to tactfully drive indirect reports and pivot while maintaining order in a fast-paced business environmentExperience providing a service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomesDemonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertivenessExcellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills and the ability to conduct presentations to large groupsStrong relationship building and interpersonal skillsExperienced user of MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)Valid driver's licensePreferred: Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, or Agile certificationExperience working in Software Development and Test OrganizationsExperience in Energy & Utilities or services industryExperience with PPM tools (e.g. PPM360, JIRA, Planview, ServiceNow, Project Server Online, etc.)Experience in a consultative role with an implementation service organization or start-upDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
