Our ommunications Specialists ork as part of the communications team to help La Clinica meet its mission and vision. This role is focused primarily on digital communication, including social media. This Communications Specialist helps La Clinica tell its story in the community by using a blend of creative and technical skills to share information on social media and La Clinica websites. Thank you. ccountabilities Include:P orms Essential Job Duties Co cate effectively with staff and the public in writing and verbally Raise munity awareness about La Clinica’s services, using email, social media, printed material, and presentations to tell stories according to established outreach and communication plans Distribu and maintain La Clinica materials in health centers and with public partners Uphold bra standards and contribute to the brand’s ongoing development Work with te to ensure that patient materials are accurate, complete, and easily understood Work with team ensure that public and internal websites are accurate, complete, and up to date Stay up to date all changes to La Clinica services, connecting with Communications Officer if service changes conflict with messaging Support team membe in creation of organizational messages Keep up to date with mmunications trends and share ideas for innovation with team Meet deadlines for cre on and publication of content Represent La Clinica at lic events Support team members in co inating speaking requests and ensuring staff have the correct materials and information to speak effectively about La Clinica Complete assigned trainings La Clinica’s learning module system (Relias) by required due date Complete other duties as assig Communications Specialists with digital media focus also: Create and curate content for La ica’s social media channels, including a variety of posts and advertising Contribute to regular reporting on o omes Use video in storytelling Respond to s al media reactions in a t ly way Stay up to date on social media trends and ing recommendations for new approaches to team Communications Specialists with a material us also: Coordinate requests for materials creation, n, and production, ensuring that these are processed in a timely and efficient way Create and maintain internal filing systems Desi and produce clear, accurate, and compelling inted materials Distribute and maintain La Clinica materials in heal centers and with public partners Communications Specialists with an external focus als Serve as backup spokesperson for La Clinica and backup ic information officer in incident command structure Serve as primary support for Communications Officer in cre on of external messages Customer Service: Develops and maintains professional, sup t-oriented workig relationships with patients, employees, team members, and community partners. Education and/or Experience: Required: Minimum: High School Diploma Experience in m unications industry, includng ith conte nd video creation Experience rking collaboratively with a team to plan events or projects Excellent interpers l communication and problem-solving skills Skills to intervene and promot econciliation, compromise and positive outcomes in difficult int ctions Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field Bilingual in English/Spanish Familiarity with HIPAA nd healthc organizations’ communications need asic knowledge of adult lear g models Language Skills: Must have the ability to communicate with cla y, both verbally and in writing; read, a yze, and interpt omplex documents, regulations, policies, and procedure manuals; and create professional business documents. Technical skills: Required: Strong communicati best practices knowledge, content creation skills (writing, graphi d sign, and video pr duction), and grammar ability. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, and Canva. Preferred: Experience with publication, content management systems, Adobe InDesign, WordPress.
