Enjoy work-life balance you won't find in traditional kitchens with daytime and early evening shifts only.Chef de Partie is responsible for ensuring food quality in both preparation and presentation. You will also be responsible for upholding the policies and procedures of the kitchen and Canyon Ranch and compliance with Serf-Safe procedures. Ability to coordinate minimal administrative responsibility with day to day on line operations.Understands and studies Canyon Ranch nutrition philosophy, menu ingredients, as well as the Ranch's overall operation, philosophy, activities and services in order to better answer guest and/or server questions.Provide daily supervision of culinary staff ensuring staff timeliness and preparedness for the shift; inspect stations for completeness and solving problems as they arise and being proactive about situations insuring a smooth shift. Also ensures standards for station breakdown/reset are followed at the end of the shift.Ensures high and consistent quality of all menu items both in preparation and presentation: ensures that all recipes are followed exactly; checks the taste and texture of all the dishes before meal services; ensures "model" plates of all menu items before each meal service.Ensures all health standards & procedures are in accordance with Pima County Health code at all times, without exception. Ensures staff follow safety procedures in the kitchen. Reports any potential safety hazards to facilities and follows up to ensure resolution of potential problems.Oversees preparation and presentation of all food in accordance with Canyon Ranch recipes, nutritional philosophy and quality standards to include handling and food storage that comply with the Health Department and Serv-Safe Procedures.
