Job Description
Position SummaryThe Tool Assembler is responsible for producing high-quality pneumatic tools and sub-assemblies by accurately interpreting technical specifications and executing precise assembly processes. This role ensures all products meet established quality, safety, and performance standards while maintaining efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and a clean, organized work environment.Key Responsibilities• Assemble pneumatic tools and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions to meet production and quality targets.• Verify component quantities against work orders and ensure accurate tracking of inventory throughout the assembly process.• Inspect parts and materials to ensure conformance to quality standards, identifying and addressing defects as needed.• Test completed products to confirm functionality and performance; document results and perform rework when necessary to meet specifications.• Operate and program laser equipment for marking or processing components as required.• Laser-mark parts with required part numbers and serial numbers, ensuring all markings are accurate, legible, and compliant with quality and traceability standards.• Precisely lap endplates to required flatness and surface finish specifications, ensuring optimal sealing performance and proper component alignment in final assembly.• Apply touch-up finishing to components to ensure a professional and complete final product.• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational readiness.• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.Success Measures (Outcomes)• Consistently produces assemblies that meet or exceed quality and performance standards.• Maintains accurate inventory tracking and minimizes material discrepancies.• Completes work efficiently while adhering to safety and procedural requirements.• Contributes to a clean, organized, and productive work environment.QualificationsEducation• High school diploma or equivalent.• Experience in a manufacturing or auto technician environment preferred.Experience & Skills• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and schematics.• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.• Good communication and teamwork skills.• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed to support production demands.Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Occupational ExposureThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
