Basic purpose With daily input of manager, oversee the selection, packing, documentation, and loading customer orders in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Some areas require the supervisor to drive Material Handling Equipment. Maintain a positive employee satisfaction rating across assigned personnel. “Regular and Predictable” attendance is required.Availability to work overtime and Saturdays is required. Essential Job Responsibilities Select, train, observe, encourage, motivate and discipline staff of 20 involved in the operation of a distribution warehouse. Prioritize work activities of staff in the completion of workload to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product. Monitor all work activities to ensure compliance with safe work processes. Ensure each customer receives the highest quality of product as specified in order. Education & Experience Requirements Minimum of high school education or equivalent. Some post high school or continuing education preferred Previous experience in a leadership/supervisory role Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution environment preferred Excellent planning, organizing, and communicating skills Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access Qualifications Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (read small alphanumeric part numbers). Peripheral Vision – 60 – 80 degree peripheral vision required. Glare Sensitivity - The ability to see objects in the presence of glare or bright lighting. Night Vision - The ability to see under low light conditions. Gross Body Coordination - The ability to coordinate the movement of your arms, legs, and torso together when the whole body is in motion. Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Selective Attention - The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. Dynamic Strength - The ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time. The ability to hear a pedestrian communicate where they are in relation to someone driving equipment. Wrist-Finger Speed - The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Dynamic Flexibility - The ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, squat, stoop, or reach out with your body, arms, and/or legs. Working conditions Must be able to work overtime (10-hour days, weekends, holidays, etc.) as needed per business demands. Must be able to work in a non-temperature controlled environment. Physical requirements Standing is required at all times except when on breaks. Lifting on an occasional basis. Some pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, stooping and reaching.
