Senior Traffic Engineer/ Project Manager

This is a long-term position based in our New York City headquarters.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead business development efforts and serve as a technical lead on proposalsManage the Traffic Design GroupRepresent EnTech at project meetings and coordinate with clients such as PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDCOversee traffic simulation modeling and capacity analysisEvaluate traffic signal operations and provide recommendationsManage traffic data collection programsDevelop and maintain traffic databasesPerform traffic forecasting and projectionsConduct trip generation and trip distribution analysesPrepare technical reports and traffic studiesLead traffic design, including pavement markings, signage, and WZTC/MPT designMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Civil or Traffic EngineeringMinimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in traffic/transportation engineeringNew York Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredPTOE certification is desirable but not requiredProficiency in HCM/HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, CORSIM, Aimsun, and VISSIMExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation requiredStrong familiarity with PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDC standards and proceduresExcellent communication and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal teams and external clientsPreferred Qualifications:Experience performing traffic engineering studies and simulation analyses, including:Traffic data collection program development and managementCapacity analysis, accident studies, and signal warrant studiesRoundabout studies, signal optimization, and level-of-service analysisIntersection and arterial/corridor analysisExperience providing traffic input for environmental studies (NEPA & CEQR) and roadway design, including:Traffic impact studies, geometric and intersection designTraffic signals, roadway signing, pavement markings, and WZTC/MPT plansDesign Approval Documents and traffic signal operation analysesExperience preparing technical reports for agencies such as PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, and NYCDDCLocation:New York, NYEstimated Annual Compensation:$155,000 – $195,000 (commensurate with experience)EnTech Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
