We are at the forefront of today’s construction industry growth and have several exciting job opportunities for talented, energized professionals across the region who want to join our #WeAre1KirbySmith family!Crane Product Service Manager BenefitsAbove average industry payComprehensive benefits package (including medical/dental/vision) 401K plan with company matchPaid time off and vacationShort/Long Term DisabilityGrowth opportunities Paid TrainingFamily owned and operatedHealth and wellness Crane Product Service Manager Position PurposeResponsible for directing and supervising a crew of mechanics to efficiently manage the repair and maintenance of equipment that falls within their responsibility, by utilizing the assets available efficiently and timely, keeping unproductive time to a minimum.Crane Product Service Essential FunctionsCommunicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal Accepts requests from internal and external customers for repairs to equipment within the scope of responsibilityDetermines flat rate pricing and prepares quotes for customersOpens work orders, assigns the appropriate technician to perform the repairs, and provides the flat rate hours quotedDetermines which repairs are warrant-able vs. customer billingMonitors progress of repairs and keeps the customer informed of progressReviews completed work order, writes and invoices description of work performedMonitors work in process daily and keep the labor to a maximum of 50 hours per technicianTracks and schedules factory campaigns and ensures set deadlines are metMaintains the parts return from technicians to established percentage goalsCompletes all paperwork related to the department on timeActively oversees safety practices of employees and corrects as needed; actively supports and encourages safety training and compliance with all safety proceduresActively promotes positive interdepartmental relationsActively supports and administers company policies and proceduresManages employee performance appraisals promptlyPerforms other job-related duties as assignedEnsures consistent and reliable on-site attendanceCrane Product Service Manager Minimum QualificationsHigh School Education or EquivalentFive (5) years of experience as a service technician and two (2) years of experience in a lead or managerial roleExceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skillsAdept at organizing, planning, and task completion to manage a high-volume departmentProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsApplied experience in management concepts and practices or the willingness to obtain training in leadership concepts and practices, plus use the knowledge effectively and appropriatelyCrane Product Service Manager Physical RequirementsPushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors Physical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours of time with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
