The systems engineer will be responsiblefor supporting the customer's enterprise environment.Summary of ChangesThis version positions Nutanix as a primary platform, rather than simply listing it as another virtualization technology. Candidates with genuine Nutanix administration experience (AHV, Prism, cluster operations, VM lifecycle, storage, networking, and troubleshooting) will recognize the role as a good fit, while Linux engineers without Nutanix experience will understand it is a significant requirement rather than a nice-to-have.Role OverviewDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux-basedinfrastructure in both on-premises and virtualized environments.Administer, maintain, and optimize Nutanix hyperconvergedinfrastructure (HCI), including AHV, Prism Central, and PrismElement, to support enterprise Linux workloads.Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision, configure, andmanage virtual machines, storage, networking, and cluster resourceswithin Nutanix environments.Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible andscripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).Standardize system configuration, patching, and deployment processesthrough Infrastructure-as-Code practices.Administer and support Red Hat ecosystem tools, including Satelliteand Capsule.Integrate and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms(e.g., OAuth, SSO, identity providers).Support the development of dashboards and observability solutionsusing tools such as Grafana and Zabbix.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux systems and Nutanixinfrastructure for performance, availability, and capacity.Troubleshoot complex system, virtualization, storage, networking,and integration issues across distributed environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systemreliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.Document system architecture, processes, automation workflows, andinfrastructure standards.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, includingautomation maturity, platform modernization, and operational bestpractices.Key ResponsibilitiesN/ARequirements:5+ years of experience administering and engineering Linux systemsin enterprise environments, including experience supportingenterprise virtualization platforms such as Nutanix.Required SkillsSolid understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals(networking, storage, security, and OS internals).Strong expertise in configuration management and automation usingAnsible.Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) for automationand tooling.Experience managing Red Hat-based environments (RHEL, Satellite,Capsule, or similar tools).Hands-on experience administering Nutanix HCI environments,including AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, virtual machinelifecycle management, storage, networking, and cluster operations.Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Linux virtualmachines in Nutanix environments.Understanding of virtualization, hypervisor technologies, storage,and networking concepts.Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, virtualization,and performance issues.Experience implementing security best practices in Linuxenvironments.Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CIPolygraph.Preferred:Experience with Nutanix advanced capabilities such as Files,Objects, Flow, Calm, or Disaster Recovery.Experience with Nutanix automation using APIs, PowerShell, orInfrastructure-as-Code tools.Experience with load balancing devices such as HAProxy or F5.Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts (e.g.,OAuth, LDAP, SSO).Experience with observability and dashboarding tools such as Grafanaand Zabbix.Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with infrastructureautomation.Experience with VMware-to-Nutanix migration or hybrid virtualizationenvironments.Strong communication and documentation skills.Education:Bachelor's degree in Information
