Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the first point of contact for horse owners and their animals. In this role, you will facilitate smooth clinic operations by managing appointments, handling client inquiries, and supporting veterinary staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities: Greet clients and assist them with check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling to ensure a positive experience. Manage medical billing and collections efficiently, ensuring accurate processing of payments. Maintain organized patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality at all times. Answer phone calls promptly, provide information about services, and coordinate appointments with veterinary staff. Support veterinary team members by preparing charts and assisting with laboratory sample collection when needed. Demonstrate knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and techniques to assist in clinical procedures when required. Qualifications: Previous experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with equine veterinary care procedures and laboratory processes is advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude and energetic approach to customer service. Basic understanding of veterinary terminology, medical collections, and laboratory procedures is desirable.
