Our combination of local expertise and national scale allows us to support both regional and global clients.Our continued success is powered by our people—and we’re just getting started.Our core values:Owner MindsetInspire TrustThink BigDrive ResultsIf this resonates with you, we’d love to connect.Position SummaryThe Client Executive / Team Lead is responsible for managing a book of business, leading strategic benefits planning, and driving client retention, growth, and service excellence.This role serves as a primary advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on:Benefits designRenewal strategyMarket positioningFinancial analysisComplianceIn addition to managing client relationships, this role provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of client service team members to ensure high-quality execution, accountability, and consistency across deliverables.This position partners closely with Producers and internal resources to align strategy, support new business, and deliver an exceptional client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Strategy & Relationship ManagementServe as the primary strategic advisor and senior point of contact for clientsProvide guidance on:Plan design and eligibilityCompliance requirementsMarket trends and developmentsIncorporate fiduciary responsibility into all client recommendationsIdentify growth opportunities within existing and prospective client relationshipsRenewal & Benefits StrategyLead strategy for new and renewal business:Analyze client dataEvaluate market optionsDevelop recommendationsNegotiate competitive coverage and pricingMaintain strong knowledge of funding arrangements:Fully insuredLevel-fundedSelf-fundedEmerging solutionsModel plan options and provide financial analysis aligned to client goalsMarketing & Carrier ManagementDirect the marketing process and carrier/vendor negotiationsDevelop proposals, presentations, and client deliverablesPartner with Producers on new business opportunities and client meetingsTeam Leadership & ExecutionProvide day-to-day leadership for Client Managers and support staffDelegate and monitor service work for accuracy and timelinessCoach and mentor team members to ensure development and performanceEnsure consistent execution of service plans and client deliverablesClient Service & OperationsOversee client communications and open enrollment strategiesEnsure accurate documentation in CRM and internal systemsMaintain quality, timeliness, and completeness across all interactionsManage workflows to meet service and performance goalsProfessional DevelopmentStay current on:Industry trendsLegislation and complianceProducts and carrier updatesRepresent EPIC with professionalism, credibility, and sound judgmentSupervisory ResponsibilitiesLead and develop assigned client service team membersProvide coaching, mentoring, and performance oversightEnsure alignment, accountability, and execution across the teamKey CompetenciesDeep knowledge of employee benefits products and funding strategiesStrong financial and analytical skills (underwriting, cost modeling, data analysis)Leadership ability with experience coaching and mentoring teamsWorking knowledge of compliance (HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA)Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft OfficeQualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)7+ years of employee benefits experience in a client-facing rolePrior leadership or team oversight experience strongly preferredStrong ability to:Interpret benefits plans and policiesAnalyze financial dataPresent recommendations to clientsHigh degree of professionalism, discretion, and business judgmentLicenses & CertificationsActive Texas Life & Health insurance license (required)Valid driver’s licenseAdvanced designations preferred (CEBS, GBA, PHR, etc.)Why EPIC?At EPIC, we invest in our people and their success.
