We provide shipyard support including but not limited to weld engineering, ships test organization and nuclear test organization. This requires the candidate to be proficient in small machine shop manufacturing using machine tools such as vertical milling machines, lathes, drill presses, band saws, surface grinders, etc.The other area of responsibility is the fabrication of test stands, test set up and the execution of off hull testing of prototype and submarine equipment.Responsibilities* Candidate should be able to work independently and develop their own processesQualificationsRequired:High School graduate or equivalent5 years or more machining experienceThe candidate must be proficient in both manual and CNC machining operationsPrototrak and conversational programming requiredThe candidate must be competent in blueprint reading, shop math, inspection techniques employing measuring instruments (for checking dimensions to plan tolerances).Preferred:* Job shop experience preferred* Candidate that can grind/modify cutters (toolmaker or equivalent experience) preferred
