Join Our Dynamic Team as a Cath Lab Tech Job Description: - Shift: Days 7AM - 7PM - Start: ASAP - Experience: - 1 year of radiologic experience required - 1 year of interventional or cath lab experience preferred - Required Certifications/Licenses: - ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required - Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI), or RCIS Certification - ACLS Certification from AHA required - BLS Certification from AHA required - Weekend Requirement: On-call 1-2 weekends per month - On Call Requirement: 8-12 days of call - Floating Requirement/Locations: No Position Summary: - Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians - Provide care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by Radiologist/Cardiologist Minimum Qualifications: - Education: - High school diploma or equivalent - Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program - Certification/Licenses: - ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required - BLS certification required - ACLS obtained within one year - Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI), or RCIS Certification - Skills: - Thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills - Knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology preferred - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English - Experience: - 1 year of radiologic experience required - 1 year of interventional or cath lab experience preferred Nature of Supervision: - Responsible to: Manager, Cath Lab Environment: - Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and various body fluids - Exposure to ionizing radiation - Work in a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment - Subject to stressful professional relationships - Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies Physical Requirements: - Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
