Java/Angular Engineer

Software EngineerThe UHC 3.0 program is redefining UHC's holistic digital experience. This position will be supporting the member journeys of access care and manage health partnering with design studios from product discovery to final production implementation. The candidate will be working on an Agile Scrum team - 4-5 Full Stack Software Engineers, 1 Scrum Master, and other cross-functional partners.Top responsibilities for this position include:Join a development team to perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing with a focus on JavaOwn the build/deploy/release process and find ways to automate and improve our pipeline at every stepDesign reusable components, frameworks, and librariesReview code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performanceParticipate in an Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeksRequired skills and attributes include:3+ years of experience with Java Web Development (Java + HTML/CSS/JS) or similar languages1+ years experience with relational databases, NoSQL databases and Docker (Microsoft SQL Server & DynamoDB preferred)Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical colleaguesBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field OR additional 3+ years IT experienceCommitment to quality, performance, and efficiencyPreferred skills and attributes:Excellent technical skills and the ability to be a positive and collaborative team member with a passion to solve business problemsThe ideal candidate would have previous experience as a software engineer working closely with various IT and business partners to solve business problems. They would have experience with open-source and cloud technologies. Key technologies used include Java, Relational Database and automated testing frameworks.
