hackajob is collaborating with Leo Technologies to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.As DevOps Manager, you will lead the DevOps team in building and maintaining the infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines that support reliable, scalable software delivery. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management responsibilities — growing a high-performing team while ensuring the platform meets the availability and security demands of our public safety customers.Essential FunctionsManage and mentor a team of DevOps and platform engineers, conducting regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversationsDefine and drive the team's roadmap for infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform capabilitiesOversee cloud infrastructure operations on AWS and/or Azure, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiencyEstablish and improve site reliability practices including on-call rotations, incident management, and post-mortemsPartner with engineering managers and architects to align platform capabilities with product delivery needsDrive automation initiatives to reduce manual toil and improve deployment frequency and stabilityManage vendor relationships and cloud spend optimization strategiesEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements across infrastructure and deployment pipelinesCompetenciesProblem Solving/Analysis.Technical Capacity.Communication Proficiency.Time Management.Ability to work as part of a team.Preferred Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, including 2+ years in a people management roleStrong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)Experience building and leading high-performing technical teamsProficiency with CI/CD tools, observability platforms, and infrastructure automationKnowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and cloud governanceExcellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
