Durham, NC (Open for remote if good)Senior / Java AI6 month contractJob Description for Sr. Java Dev:12+ years of professional experience in Java development (senior-level preferred).Proven experience with enterprise-scale application development.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.Hands-on experience with Kafka, AWS SQS, and/or IBM MQ.Experience using Agentic IDEs like Claude Code or Cursor for leveraging AI for enterprise application development.Solid understanding of AI agents, LLMs, and tools such as ChatGPT.Proficiency in Python or another major programming language for AI integration is a plusFamiliarity with AWS cloud services and building cloud native applications.Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience building and deploying AI-powered applications in production.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
