Guest Service Representative
The award-winning South Pier Inn, named Minnesota's Small Hotel of the Year, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our team.
Located at the foot of the Aerial Lift Bridge on Park Point, our family-owned boutique hotel is proud to have a strong, loyal guest base, thanks to the delivery of personable, quality service; clean, comfortable, well-appointed accommodations; and an exceptional location at the water's edge.
Qualified Guest Services candidates must:
Demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude;
Be willing to consistently provide exceptional customer service;
Show competency using a PC;
Project clearly and professionally using a telephone;
Possess a flexible work schedule (including mandatory weekend availability); and
Have knowledge of and interest in area attractions and amenities
Guest Service Representative responsibilities include:
Greeting guests and attending to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner;
Accurately entering, changing and cancelling reservations;
Completing check-in and check-out processes;
Sharing knowledge of the area with guests and providing useful information to help guests have an enjoyable and memorable visit;
Maintaining high levels of communication with co-workers and management to ensure the delivery of exceptional, consistent guest service;
Having fresh coffee and snacks ready for guests at all times;
Keeping the hotel lobby and registration desk area clean, neat and professional in appearance;
Washing, drying and folding room linens and towels.
Monday-Wednesday PM (2:30-10:30p) shift available. Position requires spending extended periods standing and walking. Bending, reaching, kneeling, and stair climbing required. Position may occasionally require lifting up to 50 lbs.
