Regional Structural Leader

This position is posted for one of our most valued clients*****Manage and grow the structural engineering practice in South Florida. Manage client relationships and staffPerform and oversee a variety of structural design, renovation, and inspection projects for various applications: new construction, design build, renovations, adaptive reuse, etcPerform and oversee structural design & analysis of building structural systems for a variety of markets: commercial, institutional, educational, public-sector, and industrial facilitiesDesign, detailing, and analysis of structures for low-rise & mid-rise buildings with a variety of materials (e.g.: concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-form steel)Perform and oversee the preparation of calculations and drawings for reportsDevelop finite element models for the analysis of complex structuresPerform field-oriented tasks (e.g.: investigations, site visits, threshold inspections, condition assessments, etc.) and develop corresponding site visit reportsWork directly with clients to foster positive relationships and maintain base business accounts. Additional tasks may be assigned, as neededRequirementsKnowledge of, and experience in, South Florida Bachelor's degree in engineering with Structural discipline emphasis. 8 years+ years of professional experience working in Structural Engineering. Active P.E. license in Florida. Possessing some of their own base-business accounts is a plusProficiency with engineering / CADD / BIM toolsWorking knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM (especially Structural Systems and/or Elements), STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad are preferredProficiency in all standard Microsoft Office software applicationsStrong analytical skillsExperience working with the design and analysis of a variety of structural systems / complex projects; experience with nonlinear structural analysis is a plus!Experience working with structural inspections / assessments, especially with renovation projectsStrong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracyProven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignmentsExcellent communication skills (verbal & written)BenefitsThis is a full-time role with corporate benefits.
