Ideally looking for a candidate with a background in the aerospace industry.Pay Range: $95,000/year - $120,000/year (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)The Quality Engineer is a member of the Quality Team with primary responsibilities for ensuring the quality and airworthiness of components and repairs carried out at the repair station (MRO). The role involves the development, management, and communication of quality assurance methodologies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, with a key focus on FAA coordination and PMA-related regulatory documentation and compliance activities.Responsibilities:Serve as a primary quality point of contact with the FAA and other regulatory authorities for Part 145 activities, audits, surveillance, conformity inspections, and regulatory inquiriesLead preparation, review, and maintenance of FAA regulatory documentation, with particular emphasis on PMA-related documentation, data substantiation, conformity records, and approval support as applicable to MRO operationsCoordinate directly with FAA inspectors on quality and airworthiness matters, including audit preparation, corrective action responses, finding closure, and ongoing regulatory complianceEnsure PMA-related activities comply with applicable CFRs, FAA guidance, and internal quality management system requirements.Collaborate with various functions to ensure quality standards are established and adhered to on all processes, programs, maintenance/repair and throughout the supply chain.Use knowledge of electronic components, mechanical components and material used for production/repair of hardware to assess compliance with program requirements, contract, and engineering documentationDesign and analyze quality inspection and testing processes, conduct quality assurance auditsEnsure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality and reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements and perform follow-up verification for effectiveness of corrective measures.Conduct comprehensive root cause/corrective action on nonconformities; participate in Continuous Improvement activitiesPerform customer interface and manage flow down of customer requirementsManage customer satisfaction from the quality perspectiveApprove manufacturing/repair documents & support all aspects of repair station qualityLiaise with the internal/external organizations/customers on quality issues and corrective actionsCollect and analyze data, and generate technical reports and presentationsResponsible for data integrity and process conformance to regulatory bodies like the FAA (Part 145), EASA (Part 145), and CAAC, as well as customer requirements and internal quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, AS9110).Interface with the FAA, third party regulators and other regulatory agencies during audits and address quality-related topics or issues.Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, statistics, quality or a related fieldA minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality or Engineering within an FAA/EASA regulated environment, with a preference for MRO operations experienceDemonstrated experience serving as a primary interface with the FAA and supporting regulatory audits, surveillance, and findings closureExperience preparing, reviewing, or supporting PMA documentation and regulatory data strongly preferredThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:AS9100, AS9110, ISO9001, FAA, EASA, CAAC, Mil-Std working knowledgeKnowledge and experience in Safety Management Systems, APQP, QualityAuditing, Human Factors, First Article Inspections and Counterfeit Parts preventionThorough working knowledge with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen Events, and Continuous Improvement, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologiesExperience with problem solving methodology such as 5-why, A3 and 8DKnowledge of manufacturing structures, varied processes, operating practices, and operating budgets.Experience managing several projects simultaneouslySAP experience a plusIf you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
