We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team to build an inclusive and high-performing Progressive Web App using Next.js.
As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for developing accessible user interfaces, PWA development using Next.js, performance optimization, creating reusable components with an accessibility focus, testing and debugging.
Team Composition: 1 Chief Development Officer, 2 OpenGL engineers, 1 Web engineer.
Must-Have for the position:
— 5+ years of experience with React
— Proficiency in TypeScript
— Experience with Next.js (14+) focusing on CSR
— Knowledge of PWA development (offline and background processes)
— Experience in React state management using Redux, Context API, or similar
— A strong understanding of accessibility standards (AA preferred)
— Familiarity with Auth0
— English Level: Upper-Intermediate or higher
️ Will be a strong plus:
— Experience with TailwindCSS
— Familiarity with CI/CD practices
Responsibilities:
— Implement user interfaces that adhere to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards, ensuring that the app is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
— Ensure keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and color contrast adjustments are integrated throughout the PWA.
— Build and maintain Progressive Web App (PWA) features such as service workers, offline support, push notifications, and app installability using Next.js.
— Implement dynamic routing, pre-rendering, and data-fetching techniques to improve app performance and user experience.
— Optimize front-end performance, focusing on fast load times, smooth interactions, and minimizing resource consumption for both online and offline users.
— Use tools like Lighthouse to monitor performance metrics, accessibility, and adherence to PWA best practices.
— Background synchronization.
— Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the stability and accessibility of features using frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and testing-library/react.
— Debug and fix accessibility-related bugs and issues throughout the development process.

The project involves a high-tech 3D visualization company focused on developing advanced augmented reality (AR) technologies. The company has created a state-of-the-art wearable device, designed to provide users with an immersive experience through a heads-up display featuring a wide 100-degree field of vision, all within a lightweight, tetherless carbon-fiber headset.
