FM 1626 Suite 300Austin, TX 78748Phone: (512) 953-8134Detailed ResponsibilitiesPrepare for the following day’s clinic appointments ensuring all required reports are available for the Provider’s reviewClean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointmentsRoom patients per scheduling criteria set forth by Provider; obtain vital signsRecord patient information such as vital signs, quality reporting data, and changes in medical history prior to Provider entering the patient’s roomObtain urine and blood serum specimens from patients; package and submit to lab following protocol set by ProviderRun outstanding order reports for clinic follow-upPrepare medication refills for the providerObtain prior authorizations for medications when requestedAssist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as neededAssist with patient callsMaintain sample logsAdditional tasks assigned by management.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrior experience as a Medical Assistant preferredA minimum of one-year experience within the medical fieldProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookBLS CertificationOther Position RequirementsOrganized and detail-orientedCustomer orientedPossesses excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.#IND100
