We warmly welcome individuals of similar mindset to join our ranks.What You’ll Be DoingThe Quality Engineer provides assistance with the Quality Department and related tasks. This role actively participates in overseeing products and processes to ensure they meet standards, including creating quality control systems, inspecting and testing products, analyzing data, and troubleshooting issues.What Your Day To Day IsImplementing overall quality inspection strategyUtilizing a Coordinated Measurement Machine (CMM) and PC DMIS (Dimensional Measurement Interface Standard) to inspect productsMonitoring, testing and inspecting products to assure they meet specified standardsDeveloping sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methodsPreparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendationsDesigning systems by which production quality can be checked in an ongoing processLeading or explaining applicable electrical and mechanical inspectionLeading quality assurance meetings and communicating quality metricsConducting or overseeing receipt inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspectionEstablishing statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidenceLeading or participating in quality auditsIssuing, resolving, and reviewing corrective and preventive actionsConducting root cause analysisDeploying problem-solving skills in advancing process improvementDetermining quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processesCreating and maintaining quality documentation and training staff on proper quality control proceduresHosting customer and regulatory reviews of quality operationsLearning and maintaining excellent knowledge of applicable CRL online systemsCollaborating with various teams to improve efficiency and reliability and ensure compliance with regulations.Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.What You’ll HaveDegree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experienceCapability in performing FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and Gage R&RComfort with process flow maps and control plansExperience with quality auditingProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePositive interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced work environmentIntermediate-level electrical and mechanical troubleshootingWhat You'll Get Out Of ItUPMC health coverage with FSA or HSA optionsComprehensive dental, vision, and life insuranceFidelity 401(k) plan with employer matchFree catered lunch every day with a vegan option31 Days of PTO (including holidays)Comp time for company travelCarnegie Robotics is an Equal Opportunity Employer that welcomes applications from all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable laws and Carnegie Robotics’ employment policies.
