Job Title: Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Home & Auto Location: Hybrid, Canandaigua, NY Company: Simco Insurance Agency Compensation: $45,000-$65,000 annually (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time (Hourly) Position OverviewSimco Insurance Agency is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our Home & Auto (Personal Lines) business. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional client experience by managing day-to-day service needs, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring policy accuracy and responsiveness. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to coverage, billing, and claims Provide clear, accurate explanations of policy details, including coverage limits, exclusions, and premiums Process policy changes such as endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and updates to client information Assist clients with claims questions and provide guidance through the claims process Resolve client issues efficiently and professionally, ensuring high satisfaction Generate and present insurance quotes, including comparisons across carriers when appropriate Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all client interactions within agency systems Work across agency management systems, carrier portals, and internal tools to ensure seamless service delivery Partner with producers and carriers to support client retention and account growth Qualifications & RequirementsActive NYS Personal Lines license requiredNYS Commercial Insurance license preferredMinimum 2 years of Personal Lines insurance experience requiredExperience working with agency management systems (EZLynx preferred) Strong understanding of Home & Auto insurance products and coverage Key Skills & CompetenciesCommunication: Ability to clearly explain complex insurance concepts to clients Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in resolving client concerns Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in policy handling and documentation Customer Focus: Empathy, patience, and a service-first mindset Technical & Data Proficiency:Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams Ability to manage, analyze, and validate detailed client and policy data with a high degree of accuracy Comfortable working across multiple systems, including agency management systems and carrier portals Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Work EnvironmentHybrid role based in Canandaigua, NY Collaborative, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on client service Simco Insurance Agency values professionalism, accuracy, and a client-first mindset.
