Embedded Firmware Engineer (Bluetooth / Wireless)

Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in C++ and C#, and hands-on experience working with physical hardware systems. This role focuses on developing embedded firmware that runs directly on devices, including low-level drivers and application firmware.The ideal candidate will have deep experience at the hardware–software interface, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues and contribute to high-priority wireless product development initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain embedded firmware for hardware devices.Design and implement low-level drivers and application firmware.Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the hardware–software interface.Contribute to Bluetooth Mesh application development and integrationWork on wireless systems, including Wi-Fi and cellular-enabled devices.Decode USB communications and develop/troubleshoot USB device drivers.Perform Assembly-level debugging for low-level system issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering leadership.Support Android-based systems by developing test tools or APIs for hardware interaction.Participate in technical documentation, including specifications, SOWs, and product documentation.Work in Agile environments using tools like Jira.Technical RequirementsStrong programming skills in C++ and C#.Experience with embedded systems and firmware development.Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Mesh and Bluetooth architecture.Familiarity with Wi-Fi, LTE, and wireless communication systems.Strong understanding of USB protocols and driver development.Experience with Assembly programming for debugging low-level issues.Experience with Nordic chipsets and Zephyr RTOS.Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting manufacturing or mechanical engineering teams.Background in manufacturing environments.Familiarity with ISO and industry compliance standards.Experience working with Android-based hardware systems.Project DetailsDevelopment Scope: 80% new development, 20% enhancements.Project Focus: High-priority Bluetooth Mesh initiative.Opportunity to support additional product lines post onboarding.Soft SkillsStrong communication skills with ability to interact with CTO, Directors, and senior stakeholders.Ability to work independently and proactively.Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
