This is an exciting opportunity with significant external collaboration with the customer. In this unique role, you will be the primary engineering interface with Siemens Energy for industrial applications. You will be responsible for the delivery of the engineering IPT objectives defined by the engine programs. The scope includes planning and executing technical projects while having responsibility for maintaining the delivery schedule and budget.What You Will Be DoingPrimary Project Application Engineer with Siemens Energy for the industrial engine applications for the T56/501, Trent 800 and RB211-524 enginesAct as Liaison Officer on the Technical Management Committee with Siemens Energy and the prime point of contact for controlling technical information between the businessesLead global multi-disciplinary teams across different specialisms to drive completion of project tasks and deliverables in accordance with applicable processes, procedures and regulationsManage Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) between Rolls-Royce and Siemens EnergyEffectively communicate complex technical projects with program stakeholders both internally to leadership and externally to customers, regulators, and airframersDevelop the System Engineering strategy for the project and ensure this is reflected in the project governance and project master scheduleExecute WBS cost account management (CAM), integrated planning/scheduling, earned-value assessment, risk management and continuous improvement tasksOwn engineering safety management system (SMS) activities including support of safety review boards, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports, Safety Management Plans and other SMS processesBasic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of project/program management experience, orMaster's degree in Engineering, orJD/PhDMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this rolePreferred RequirementsDemonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on an extended, multifunctional engineering project teamExperience working in engineering technical project management including interactions with customers, suppliers and partnersExperience supporting multiple engine programs simultaneouslyUnderstanding of engineering design, procurement, manufacturing and assemblyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment taking rational risks to meet customer deliverablesDemonstrated organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to deal with ambiguityExperience interfacing with customers on technical program issuesExcellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skillsOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
