Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.We have an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Quality Technician I at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia!As a Quality Technician I, you will be a key contributor in ensuring product excellence, reliability, and compliance within our manufacturing operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills who can perform inspections, audits, and calibration with accuracy and consistency. You will support both Assembly and the Machine Shop by identifying non-conformances, maintaining quality systems, and driving data-based improvements.1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with possible deviations based on business needs.If you are a quality-focused professional passionate about precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, apply now and see why Busch Vacuum Solutions is a great place to grow your career and make an impact!Job ResponsibilitiesPerform final inspection of pumps, document the findings in SAP, and report to the Quality Manager.Provide support to Assembly and Machine Shop when the Andon light is activated.Provide Assembly support during downtime by segregating and sorting non-conforming products.Prepare purchase requisition for approval by the Quality Manager.Involvement in the MRB Process.Defines and perform Incoming Materials inspection as required.Defines and perform inspection on materials as required.Inputs quality data into spreadsheets and programs.Participates in group problem solving activities.Performs Internal calibration of gauges, communicate with calibration company, send out gauges and in full control of gauge management.Conducts in-process audits, internal and external, as required.Processes non-conforming material, including disposition.Maintains general housekeeping standards.Reports online Performance and update chart/graph displays.Required ExperienceHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredAssociate's Degree (two-year college or technical school, any field of study): Preferred2+ years of experience in manufacturing (Quality): Required5+ years of experience in manufacturing (any area): PreferredAwareness of calibration procedures: PreferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel - ability to enter and manipulate data in spreadsheets): RequiredExperience with email communication (open/create/send): RequiredEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system software experience: PreferredValid driver's license maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standardsPersonal QualificationsDetail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skillsSelf-motivated with a positive attitude and professional maturityDependable, trustworthy, and results-focusedStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data in decision-makingEffective oral and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work independently or collaboratively as part of a teamAdaptable and flexible in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentSafety-focused, maintaining clean and orderly workspaces and adhering to all workplace safety standardsJob Requirements* Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check* Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basisMust be willing and able to utilize all required PPEAbility and willingness to travel (up to 10%) domestically and overnightsValid Drivers' License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standardsEmployment with Busch Vacuum Solutions requires current work authorization in the United States.
