Locums Pediatric Hospitalist opportunity in Pennsylvania where daytime and call coverage is neededStart Date: ASAP*** Active PA state license ****** DEA Required ****** BC/BE ****** Required Certifications: CPR, PALS, NRP ****** Minimum 2 years Experience Required ***Schedule:Mon-Sun | 8a-430p | Rounding24hr Call | 8a-8a | with 30 min call backJob Details/Responsibilities :Typical Day: round daily in newborn nursey; average of 6 patients; round in level 2 nursery average of 4 patients; round in pediatric inpatient unit average of 3 patients. Be in-house as needed for deliveries and be on-call 24 hours per day, although do not need to be inhouse 24-hours per day, just available. UPMC Altoona has a 22-bassinet level 1 well infant nursery, an 8-bed level 2 neonatalIntermediate care unit, and a 12-bed inpatient pediatric unit.Provider will work soloAVG Inpatient per Day: 15AVG Admissions per Day : 3Typical Cases Seen : Majority was well infants, routine delivery, however there is a level 2 nursery for newborns requiring a higher level of care.Required Procedures: Stabilization of a critical newborn to transfer; neonatal resuscitation; Intubation; Lumbar puncture; Peripheral venous access; Umbilical catheter placement; Circumcision; Thoracentesis; CPAP supervisionEMR : CernerCredentialing: 2-4 weeks, temporary privileges availableCompensation for this opportunity is very competitive
