DescriptionFull-Time, Exempt position$24.00 per hour; 35 hour per weekBasic FunctionLead the Fatherhood Initiative Program to help fathers build economic stability, self-awareness, and strong family relationships. Apply prevention strategies to educate and support fathers, increase community awareness about substance use, and develop prevention campaigns within organizations serving Connecticut fathers and families.ResponsibilitiesImplement the Fatherhood Initiative Program and associated substance use prevention strategies. Supervise and support Fatherhood Initiative staff to ensure program quality and effectiveness. Conduct outreach and recruitment to engage fathers, explain program activities, and enroll participants. Facilitate weekly workshops that strengthen fathers’ relationships with their families. Hold weekly case management meetings with participants to identify barriers and develop self-sufficiency goals. Track participant progress in the program database and provide regular updates to the Program Supervisor. Build and maintain relationships with local courts and support enforcement systems to streamline services for fathers. Represent the agency at community forums and events to promote program awareness and partnerships.Develop and execute annual prevention plans, including training staff and educating fathers and families on opioids, stimulants, mental health, and Naloxone administration. Attend required trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
