Electrical Drafter III
Position Overview The Electrical Drafter III will perform drafting functions for development of new and existing products using AutoCAD Electrical 2021 and/or Revit. Draft as-built drawings per redlines and update Bill of Materials.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvides drafting support to designers and engineers.Produces accurate drawings which meet company drafting standards.Performs a preliminary self-check of drawings produced prior to submitting them to the project engineer for approval.Assists designers and engineers with Bill of Materials.Assists designers and engineers with shop and field wiring of equipment and "As Built" mark-ups.Produces production drawings from redlines received from designers and engineers.Organize, develop, and maintain drawings and bills of materials.Other ResponsibilitiesAssist with other documentation:Electronic Document Control transmittalsPurchase Order requestsChange Order requestsInventoriesGather quotes from vendorsParticipate in periodic project meetings - internally and externallyCoordinate with project management to ensure compliance with project schedule.Assist in quality inspections of fabricated panelsBasic Responsibilities of All PositionsAct with integrity and honestyAdd value to the company by providing solutions to problemsConducts work in a professional and safe mannerWork with others as a teamCommunicate effectivelyThink creatively, but always using common senseSimplify drawings, tasks, procedures, routines, etc. whenever possibleBe conscientious of how others are affected by your actionsRequirementsSkilled in both AutoCAD Electrical and RevitSome familiarity with:process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagramslow and medium voltage power distribution design, equipment/protective devicesduct bank design, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding, and lighting systems designsingle line diagrams, area classifications, power and control schematics, wiring design, raceway design specific to tray and conduit systemscontrol system electrical design (24 VDC, 120 VDC)At least an associate's or vocational degree in drafting technology or equivalent 5-year relevant experienceOrganized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasksAbility to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriatelyMust have a mobile phone and open to calloutsLegally drive and work in the United States of America without sponsorship by IACBased in the greater Kansas City metro area
